WHO ARE YOU?

Have you ever wondered why you are important to God? Why does He visit you every morning? Why does He give you a brand new day every time He wakes you? Why does He put an angel of mercy by your bedside to watch over you while you are sleeping?

You are important to God because He made you in His own image — His own likeness

(Genesis 1:26). Although God is a spirit, the person you see in the mirror is a reflection of what God is like. You are beautifully and wonderfully made while you were in your mother’s womb. God put you together with His own hands. You are His most precious jewel with intelligence and the ability to honor and praise Him as no other creature on earth. He loves you better than you love yourself.

He gave you brain power to understand and make things around you better for everyone.

He also gave you five senses, which are touching, tasting, hearing, smelling, and seeing, to  send messages to the brain. God expects you to use what He has given you to take care of your family and community and to tell others about Jesus Christ who died on the cross to save the world from sin. He made you a little lower than the angels and crowned you with glory and honor. What this mean is that angels are spiritual messengers that obey God. They come and go as He sends them. He gave you responsibilities that were not given to angels. He made you the caretaker of the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and every living thing that moves on the earth. Your job is to bear fruit, cultivate and preserve the earth, and be the master of things in which you are in charge, not just for yourself, but the good of others (Genesis 1:28).

Who are you? Are you trying to meet God’s expectations or please the world? Will you be ready to meet Jesus Christ in the air when the trumpet sounds or will you be left behind (I Thessalonians 4:16-17)?

Because of the lack of feedback, I feel that the readers of my commentaries might think of them as gloom and doom. Gloom and doom may well be a good description of them, but we must remember that before a storm warnings are given so we can prepare ourselves.

At this time, our nation is headed for gloom and doom. What are the warnings? First, our nation is being led by an ill qualified, egotistical businessman posing as a politician who has the nuclear code in his pocket.

Secondly, we have a very conservative Congress, whose only purpose is to make the rich even richer at the expense of minorities

Life holds many challenges for all of us. Each day is a brand new day—all we need to do is open our eyes to see the wonderful strength and opportunities He gives us: a chance to do better, to always be forgiving, and to add a little sunshine to the world in which we live. We must pray daily for the Lord to lead and guide us each step of the way.

Ms. Clara Jackson

Wanted everyone to clearly understand that although God is merciful and grants second chances, we have suffer to the consequences of our disobedience. When we repent of our mistakes, we must take heart and move forward in Christ, for these trials may be a part of his plan for us to be strengthened.
